Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be warmly welcomed by your mountain representative and transferred to your hotel in Moshi. After check-in, you will have time to relax and recover from your journey while enjoying views of Mount Kilimanjaro, weather permitting. Later in the day, there will be a detailed pre-climb briefing conducted by your lead mountain guide, covering safety procedures, altitude awareness, and trekking expectations. A thorough gear check will be carried out to ensure all required equipment is suitable for the climb. Dinner and overnight will be at the hotel, preparing you for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Moshi – Marangu Gate to Mandara Huts
After an early breakfast, you will drive to Marangu Gate for registration and park formalities before beginning your trek. You may spot black-and-white colobus monkeys as you hike along the well-maintained path. The gradual ascent makes for an enjoyable introduction to the mountain. Day 3: Mandara Huts to Horombo Huts

Day 4: Horombo Huts to Kibo Huts
Today’s trek crosses the alpine desert zone, where vegetation becomes sparse and the landscape more dramatic. The trail gradually ascends across the saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo, offering a sense of the mountain’s vast scale. The air becomes noticeably thinner as you gain altitude, so a slow and steady pace is essential. After several hours of trekking, you will arrive at Kibo Huts, located at the base of the summit cone. The afternoon is spent resting, hydrating, and preparing your gear for the summit attempt. An early dinner is served before you retire for a short rest.

Day 5: Kibo Huts to Uhuru Peak – Descend to Horombo Huts
Around midnight, you will begin the most challenging and rewarding part of the climb—the summit attempt. Hiking under the stars, you will make a steady ascent toward Gilman’s Point on the crater rim, followed by the final push to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. As the sun rises, you will be rewarded with unforgettable views across the glaciers and plains below. After celebrating your achievement and taking photos, you will descend carefully back to Kibo Huts for a short rest and brunch. The journey continues down to Horombo Huts, where you will enjoy a well-earned meal and overnight stay.
