Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Moshi town, located at the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. This day is reserved for rest and preparation after your journey, allowing you to acclimatize to the local environment. In the evening, you will meet your mountain guide for a detailed briefing about the Machame Route, safety procedures, and summit strategy. A full gear check will be conducted to ensure you have all the necessary equipment for the climb, with rental options available if needed. Dinner and overnight will be at the hotel in Moshi, offering comfort and anticipation for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Moshi – Machame Gate to Machame Camp
After an early breakfast, you will drive from Moshi to Machame Gate, where registration and park formalities are completed. The trek begins through the lush and dense rainforest zone, characterized by towering trees, moss-covered branches, and a variety of birdlife and monkeys. The trail can be muddy and slippery, especially after rain, but it offers a gentle introduction to the climb. After several hours of hiking, you will reach Machame Camp, set within the forest at the edge of the moorland zone. Here, the crew will prepare dinner as you relax and enjoy your first night on the mountain under the canopy of stars.
