Day 3: Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,650 m) to Shira 2 Camp (3,850 m)
After breakfast, we continue our climb as the rainforest fades into open heath and moorland. The trail is steady and ideal for acclimatization, and the views grow wider and more dramatic as we reach the breathtaking Shira Plateau, one of Kilimanjaro’s most scenic areas. We trek across the plateau with panoramic mountain views, passing open moorland and striking volcanic formations, with a chance to spot Mount Meru in the distance on clear days. In the afternoon, we arrive at Shira 2 Camp (3,850 m), settle into camp, rest, and enjoy dinner with beautiful views across the plateau.

Day 4: Shira 2 Camp (3,850 m) to Barranco Camp (3,960 m) via Lava Tower (4,600 m)
Today is a key acclimatization day: we hike from Shira 2 Camp across the high alpine desert toward Lava Tower (4,600 m). Reaching this higher altitude helps your body adapt, even though we will sleep lower. After a lunch break at Lava Tower, we descend into the beautiful Barranco Valley to Barranco Camp (3,960 m), often considered one of the most scenic camps on the mountain, with great views of the Western Breach and the Barranco Wall. This "climb high, sleep low" pattern is one of the most effective ways to improve your summit chances.

Day 5: Barranco Camp (3,960 m) to Karanga Camp (4,035 m) via Barranco Wall
After breakfast, we begin with the famous Barranco Wall. It is a fun and scenic scramble with plenty of photo moments, and your guide will support you step by step. Once on top, we traverse along ridges and valleys with incredible views toward the summit. We then descend slightly and continue to Karanga Camp (4,035 m). This is a shorter day designed to support acclimatization and help you rest well for the higher camps ahead.

Day 6: Karanga Camp (4,035 m) to Barafu Camp (4,673 m)
Today we hike steadily from Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp (4,673 m), the final camp before summit night. The landscape becomes rockier and more alpine as the air gets thinner. After arrival, you will rest, hydrate, and enjoy an early dinner. Your guide will brief you for the summit attempt, including pacing, safety, and what to expect. An early sleep is important because you will wake up around midnight for the summit push.

Day 7: Summit Day: Barafu Camp (4,673 m) to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m) + Descend to Mweka Camp (3,100 m)
Around midnight, we start the summit ascent under the stars. We climb slowly and steadily toward Stella Point, then continue along the crater rim to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m), the highest point in Africa. After photos and celebration at the summit, we begin the descent back down to Barafu for a short rest and lunch, then continue descending to Mweka Camp (3,100 m). This is the longest and most demanding day, but also the most rewarding.
