Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania– Transfer to Nyerere National Park
Upon arrival in Dar es Salaam, you will be picked up by our driver guide and depart by road for Nyerere National Park formerly Selous Game Reserve, one of Africa’s largest protected wildlife areas and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The drive takes you through picturesque countryside, rural villages, and vast savannah landscapes, offering insight into local life along the way. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch at the lodge followed by time to relax or take in the surrounding wilderness. Nyerere National Park is renowned for its unspoiled ecosystems, diverse habitats, and abundant wildlife. As the sun sets, settle into the tranquil atmosphere of the bush, surrounded by natural sounds.

Day 2: Full Day Safari in Nyerere National Park
Spend the entire day exploring the remote and wildlife-rich plains of Nyerere National Park on a guided game drive. This park is famous for large populations of elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, and a wide variety of bird species. The Rufiji River system enhances the park’s biodiversity, making wildlife viewing especially rewarding. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush before continuing your exploration in the afternoon. Day 3: Walking Safari - Transfer to Mikumi National Park
Begin the day with a guided walking safari accompanied by an armed ranger, offering a unique opportunity to experience the bush on foot. After breakfast, depart for Mikumi National Park, passing through scenic landscapes and local communities. Mikumi National Park is Tanzania’s fourth-largest national park and is often compared to the Serengeti due to its open floodplains and abundant wildlife. Arrive at the lodge in time for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Full Day Safari in Mikumi National Park
Enjoy a full-day game drive in Mikumi National Park, a haven for wildlife enthusiasts. The park’s wide plains provide excellent opportunities to spot elephants, lions, zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, and large herds of buffalo. Mikumi National Park also hosts hippo pools and diverse birdlife, making it ideal for photography and wildlife observation. Break for lunch at a designated picnic site before continuing the afternoon game drive. As the day concludes, return to the lodge to unwind and reflect on the day’s sightings.

Day 5: Mikumi National Park to Dar es Salaam via Maasai Cultural Bomas
After breakfast, depart Mikumi National Park and begin the journey back to Dar es Salaam. En route, visit a Maasai village for an enriching cultural experience. Learn about Maasai traditions, customs, dress, and daily life while interacting with community members. This visit offers meaningful cultural insight and a chance to support local livelihoods. Continue to Dar es Salaam and check in at your hotel, where the evening is free for relaxation or optional city exploration.

Day 6: Dar es Salaam – Zanzibar (Nakupenda & Stone Town Tour)
Transfer to the airport, ferry terminal or boat for your journey to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, embark on a Nakupenda sandbank excursion, where you can relax on pristine white sands, swim in crystal-clear waters, and enjoy fresh tropical fruits and seafood. Later, explore historic Stone Town on a guided city tour, visiting landmarks such as the Old Fort, House of Wonders, and former slave market sites.
